BRIDGES: A Cross-Departmental Graduate Student Conference, hosted by student organization The SBU Graduate Arts & Sciences Magazine, took place on January 30, 2025 from 9:30am – 5:30pm at Stony Brook University in the Student Activities Center.
After the success of this event, the magazine aims to turn BRIDGES into an annual conference. This interdisciplinary event highlights the diverse research, creativity, and innovation of Stony Brook University’s graduate students. The conference fosters collaboration and communication across fields by giving students a platform to connect and share their work with a broad audience.
BRIDGES 2025 had representation from over 30 departments, and we're looking to expand next year.
BRIDGES was open to SBU faculty, students, and staff, as well as members of the local community, industry professionals, and anyone interested in interdisciplinary research, education, and innovation. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a day of discovery, creativity, and connection.
